Fiorucci participó como invitado internacional del evento Italia Moda Caribe 2009 que se realizó en las instalaciones de un importante proyecto turístico residencial, al que asistieron personalidades ligadas al ámbito empresarial, turístico y social local.

El modisto agradeció la invitación que las fundaciones Davide Iovino y Turismo Sostenible le hicieran para formar parte del programa de acciones que desarrollan enfocadas a fortalecer el destino turístico La Romana-Bayahibe, donde existe una comunidad italiana importante.

Los organizadores expresaron su satisfacción de que el estilista milanés participara en esta edición y con su marca apoyar la iniciativa que busca crear un valor agregado al  producto turístico cultural por el que se reconoce el destino.
